Especially, with motor car companies being in mass productions for the past oh my sooo many years and so many more years to come. The environment of the world as we know it hasn't really been performing at it's peak recently. And do we know why? Well of course, I mean we should know why, we basically are the ones to blame. Not specifying anyone in particular but I'm pretty sure us humans have contributed to the most part. But, as much damage as we've done, shouldn't we begin to think on how we can either reverse the effect or at the least minimize the pollution??Compaq Laptop Batteryhttp://www.sparepartswarehouse.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19408890.post-1141167076313348652006-03-01T09:51:00.000+11:002006-03-01T09:51:00.000+11:00Yes I haven't addressed the broader issue of landf...Yes I haven't addressed the broader issue of landfill generally. I don't know much about the technical side of this issue but I'd say rechargeable batteries are only better if they're made without toxic materials or if those materials are recycled when the product is disposed of. If the toxics end up in your local tip, disposable batteries are actually probably less harmful.David Jefferyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826563619710355534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19408890.post-1141154514171384012006-03-01T06:21:00.000+11:002006-03-01T06:21:00.000+11:00I'd like to think that the 'california effect' can...I'd like to think that the 'california effect' can make a difference (it has done it in the past, with the auto industry for example) - although we might need to put up with a little industry flack first (ditto on the auto industry example) - but if companies such as apple, can come on board and take the toxics out the IPOD, it'll make it easier for others to follow suit. <BR/>Will it make it okay then for landfill disposal of these units? Not necessarily, but maybe it'll get the electronics industry thinking about whether or not it's cheaper for them to take out the toxics or take back their product.Amy Marpmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08373369830617693045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19408890.post-1141130030056690922006-02-28T23:33:00.000+11:002006-02-28T23:33:00.000+11:00Excuse my ignorance.
